I'm not a camera expert and I can't tell you all the high tech stuff about the camera, but I do know it takes great pictures. After getting the camera, i walked around taking pictures of everyday things - phone, basketball, tree etc. just to see if I was going to keep the camera. After downloading the pictures onto the computer, I couldn't believe how clear and detailed the pictures were. I didn't read the book, just put the battery in and started shooting. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish it had a stronger zoom. Get more detail about Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Light Gray).
