I previously owned another Canon and was totally happy with it. I am very happy with the SD1200IS so far. It seems to have a little more trouble focusing quickly but I think that has more to do with my lack of abilty and understanding than the camera. It is more sophisticated than my last Canon and has more features which I need to read the manual on to learn to use better.
