My husband surprised me with this camera so I could have a lightweight 'take-along' when I go to quilt shows and demos at quilt shops and guild meetings. I have a Canon Rebel EOS XTi and a Canon EOS 630 which take wonderful pictures, so I thought that this camera would be inferior by comparison. Was I ever surprised! This Canon PowerShot SD1200IS takes perfect pictures.The first time I used it I was at a quilt show and so I tested it by zooming close in to some individual stitches and Wow! what a picture. I went for a walk and zoomed in on some flowers that were a little ways off the sidewalk and got another perfect picture. It takes a little while to find all the features and to remember where they are because there are so many options, but that is a good thing. I am truly amazed at what this small camera can do. And I can slip it into my pocket and not have a heavy camera hanging around my neck. I still love being able to change the lenses in my other 2 cameras, but this one is really great. It is well worth the price.
